Steel won’t reveal how, exactly, or why he chose to marry her, though. The story comes to a part where local busybodies threaten to reveal Rachel’s personal background as her worries about her spouse grow. And as this intriguing mystery develops, more secrets are revealed, with that being the least of them. How is their secret revealed? Who is killed by whom?
