As a teenager, Carl attended church regularly with his divorced mother. He often felt ostracized because the pastor frequently declared that homosexuals were destined for hell. This negative influence affected Carl, but he still held onto his love for God. He wondered, however, if God truly loved him. Carl would soon discover the truth through a series of trials and tribulations. He faced racism, job termination, incarceration, sexual assault, HIV/AIDS and mental illness, but emerged from these experiences stronger in faith and gave birth to The Set Up.Great Read!Honest, open and raw!
