The Secret of the Time Machine

A big red button. A sticker that says 'Do not press.' And a kid who just can’t help himself.Luke is eleven, and he is the most curious kid in his neighborhood. His dad is an inventor, a little scatterbrained and a lot mysterious, and he has only one rule: never touch anything in the workshop. But this afternoon the door has been left open, and under a dusty sheet there is a silver machine that seems to have been waiting just for Luke. What if the machine works? One press, a blue light... and the workshop is gone. Luke could land in a forest of giant plants where dinosaurs and mammoths still roam, in a city of the future full of flying cars and robots, or inside a castle from centuries ago. And the only way home is to make the right choices. You decide. At the end of every section, Luke’s next step is up to you. Press the button or call for help. Hide or explore. Trust the strange voice or run. Every choice opens a different path, and every path ends in a different way... but be careful: time is more fragile than it looks, and one wrong move could leave Luke stuck in the past forever.Over 12 endings... and one completely secret. Only the most attentive readers, the ones who read carefully and connect the clues, will find it. Go back, choose differently, and play again.New expanded and illustrated edition of one of the favorite adventures in the Decide Your Destiny series, for readers aged 7 to 12 who want to be the hero of the story.
