She’s the kid I never had!'Gidget’s surfing legacy was the inspiration to write this children’s book.The book focuses on beach, ocean and marine wildlife conservation as Gidget saves various mammals and sea life friends from man’s deadly pollution whilst on a surfing exploration.Gidget bumps into ocean friends like ’Wally The Whale’ to rescue him from a mouth full of plastic bottles and trash. Gidget is aware of collecting the garbage from her sea friends and collects the trash herself so she can dispose of the waste in a correct manner when she returns to dry land.The book has witty charm from collaborator Catherine Large and colorful illustrations by Gary Lister making it a visual good read for children and adults.
