Remineralization has emerged as a central paradigm in contemporary dental science, emphasizing the non-invasive management of early carious lesions through the restoration of mineral integrity in enamel and dentin. It underlies the shift toward preservation of natural tooth structure and the principles of minimally invasive dentistry, addressing the growing need for more conservative and preventive treatment approaches in modern clinical practice. The dynamic equilibrium between demineralization and remineralization is regulated by salivary composition, microbial activity, pH fluctuations, and dietary influences. Advances in remineralizing systems including fluoride-based formulations, calcium-phosphate technologies, and biomimetic agents have enhanced the efficacy and predictability of preventive and therapeutic interventions. In light of the increasing prevalence of early carious lesions and the expanding scope of preventive dentistry, a comprehensive understanding of these concepts and their clinical applications becomes essential.
