An example of bad religion (theology) are those that insist that creation took place in 6 or 7 24-hour days when Psalms 90:4 clearly states that “a thousand years in [GOD’s] sight are like a day that has gone by” NIV. During creation, there was no mankind present to check a clock … therefore GOD (or if GOD chose, a timekeeper other than man) was present to determine the length of a day at that time. A 24-hour day is determined from the perspective of the earth’s surface looking up at the sky as the earth revolves on its axis. The creation story reports that the Spirit of GOD hovered above the waters (before the separation of dry land). From GOD’s perspective, it could have been any amount of time … from earth’s surface perspective; none was present to determine the facts of the duration.My concern always was; why would GOD have to violate GOD’s good laws to accomplish GOD’s purpose? That concern pushed me to look at explanations of miracles and study their validity. I found that many may be explainable. But does that nullify GOD’s action within the event? Not at all!!! The definition of miracle needs to be enhanced.
