Newly minted lawyer Blake Reynolds joins an unscrupulous law firm in hopes of satisfying his quest for wealth. He needs money-lots of it-in order to gain revenge on the girl who dumped him and married a rich, older man. After Blake’s mentor dies at his desk of a supposed heart attack, Blake presses forward into the dark world of unethical and illegal activity before falling victim to an attempt on his life. Waking in the hospital after a weeklong coma, Blake learns he has suffered a depressed skull fracture that has left him with amnesia. He doesn’t know who assaulted him, or why. His last memory is being told his mentor did not die of a heart attack but was murdered. With the help of a former colleague, Wyen Hoffmeier, he escapes the hospital and hides out from those he suspects tried to kill him. Romantic feelings develop. Wyen turns to her pastor for guidance. Will they be able to save Blake both physically and spiritually?
