The Romance Of Isabel Lady Burton V2 is a book written by Lady Burton, Isabel. This book is the second volume of the memoirs of Lady Burton, which tells the story of her life as the wife of the famous explorer Sir Richard Francis Burton. The book is a fascinating account of Lady Burton’s travels with her husband to various parts of the world, including Africa, India, and the Middle East. The book begins with Lady Burton’s childhood and her early years as a student in London. It then moves on to her meeting with Sir Richard Francis Burton, their courtship, and eventual marriage. The book also describes their travels together, including their expedition to the interior of Africa, where they discovered Lake Tanganyika. The Romance Of Isabel Lady Burton V2 is not just a travelogue, but also a love story. Lady Burton’s devotion to her husband is evident throughout the book, and her admiration for his intellect and courage is clear. The book also provides a glimpse into the social and cultural norms of the Victorian era, as Lady Burton describes her experiences as a woman traveling in foreign lands.Overall, The Romance Of Isabel Lady Burton V2 is a captivating memoir that offers a unique perspective on the life and travels of one of the most famous explorers of the 19th century. It is a must-read for anyone interested in the history of exploration, travel writing, or Victorian society. It had long been our desire to visit Palestine and the Holy Land thoroughly, and so in March, 1871, we determined to set out. Richard wished me to go by sea and meet him at Jerusalem, as he was going by land with Mr. Drake, who had now returned from England; so I travelled across to Beyrout, with the intention of going from there by sea to Jaffa at once. But when I reached the harbour of Beyrout there was such a rough sea that I judged it better to wait for another steamer. So I put up at the hotel at Beyrout, where I made my first acquaintance with Cook’s tourists. They swarmed like locusts over the town, in number about one hundred and eighty. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world’s literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
