Roger is a black boy in South Central Detroit in the heart of the urban community. His studies of the black movement in America are constant, but he is fascinated with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His interest in the black struggle leads him to a black awareness group called The Righteous Movement. Soon afterward, a more radical group called The Revolution comes into the community. Roger is bombarded with many hardships including the death of his father and more recently, the death of his brother, Chris. Roger loses his mind and seeks comfort in The Revolution. Then the real revolution begins.
