It is his job to be shrunk down in size by the Hulm Projector, inserted into the bodies of rich patients, and once there, to remove their cancer from within before returning to normal. Being a Messenger, Blount has escaped the poverty and crime that permeates life in 21st century Downside. But the life of a Messenger has its drawbacks, the sacrifice of one’s sanity being only one of them. Now as Blount recovers from having removed the cancer from yet another old rich man, he contemplates the unthinkable... the murder of his latest patient.
