Villages are threatened, the land itself is changing, and the darkness pursuing the Guardians has learned who they love, what they fear and exactly how far they will go to protect one another.Seeking safety and answers, the family gathers within Marina’s ancient cliffside home overlooking the sea. There, mysteries buried for generations begin to awaken. Living murals shift across stone walls. Forgotten Guardian records reveal disturbing fragments of Eldoria’s past. The mysterious Heart Chamber responds to the sisters’ presence, while discoveries surrounding the Root Crown suggest that the darkness beneath Eldoria’s black waters may have begun long before any of them were born. And then there is Ollie.Marina’s gentle golden companion has always seemed to understand more than he should. But when traces of a remarkably familiar dog begin appearing throughout Eldoria’s ancient history, Marina is forced to wonder just how much Ollie remembers-and how long he has been waiting. With Stuart, Adrian and Marcus beside them, their Keepers guiding them, and Ellie, Ollie, Nikki, Sammie, Tammy and tiny Pumba discovering that their own gifts may matter more than anyone realised, the sisters must prepare for an enemy that has learned to use love itself against them.Yet the darkness has made one crucial mistake. It believes love makes them weak.Filled with epic fantasy adventure, romantic fantasy, ancient mythology, magical animal companions, mystery, danger and deeply emotional family relationships, The Reckoning is a story about courage, belonging and the extraordinary strength found in trusting others.Because the greatest battles are not always won by the strongest.Sometimes, they are won by those who refuse to stand alone. The Reckoning is Book Five of The Sisters of Eldoria Hexalogy by Marina Swan and is best enjoyed after the previous books in the series.
