China consistently adheres to a people-centered approach, transcending 'minority democracy,' 'one-time democracy,' and 'pseudo-universal democracy,' ensuring that the broad masses genuinely enjoy democratic rights and empowering the people to be the true masters of the country, society, and their own destinies. Through numerous case studies, the book demonstrates that China’s pursuit of 'substantive democracy,' where the people are the masters, constitutes 'whole-process people’s democracy' that is comprehensive, all-encompassing, and holistic.
