The Promise of the Father

Discover the Person and Power of the Holy SpiritMany Christians know of the Holy Spirit, but few truly know Him. Many have received Him in salvation, but few have experienced the baptism in the Holy Spirit that empowers them for life and service on this earth. In this transformative book, William Vincent explores a fundamental truth that is often overlooked: the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the person of the Holy Spirit are not one and the same. While every believer receives the Holy Spirit at salvation, there is a distinct and separate experience available to every child of God-the baptism in the Holy Spirit, given to empower us to live victoriously on earth and to be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ.Drawing from Scripture, Vincent reveals:Why Jesus had to die and ascend to the FatherHow the Holy Spirit was limited in Jesus’ earthly body and released at His resurrectionThe distinction between being born again and being baptized in the Holy SpiritHow the Holy Spirit is a person-not an 'it'-who teaches, guides, and comfortsWhy the baptism in the Holy Spirit is essential for living the Christian life on earthHow every believer can do greater works than Jesus didThis book is not merely a theological treatise. It is an invitation to experience the fullness of what God has provided through the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. It is a call to be filled-and continually filled-with the Holy Spirit. The work of Calvary is finished. The promise of the Father has been given. The only question that remains is this: Will you receive Him? 6
