Book factual meeting and lifelong friendship with Ray before his decision to become a Catholic priest after his enlistment in the Air Force and served as a flight engineer to the end of WWII. He felt prayer during combat flights saved his life and lead to his decision and entered the seminary upon his discharge. We met in business dealings because of his work in promoting a Boys Home (later college) as his bishop took him from religion and made him a regular mendicant borrower with his charismatic skills. We together with two other business associates on a cruise to Nassau sought out a night club where two nuns were seated with us. My dancing with the smiling one lead to another romantic story. All ends with visit to Father Ray at his condo in Florida.

Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...
