A book is a classic when its words & theories enter a state of continuing even increasing relevance. In their efforts to obtain food and water resources, humans have long used violence against their own kind, as well. This violence was directed not only against the external enemies of the tribe, but also against beloved ones and served the purpose of maintaining structure and coherence through fear and obedience. Years passed and country borders made their appearance. Ethnic populations grew bigger; violence spread among the citizens of the country; aggression against fellow tribesmen in the form of terror attacks against the real or imaginary enemies of the leader grew as a power game to maintain control and subsequent benefits.
