The Perfect Tenant in Nob Hill. 1969Cassandra Nelson finds her first place through the classified ads and moves to San Franciscos Nob Hill. She shares her apartment with a young coed. With her enjoying her new independence and a new professional job in the financial district, life is everything she always dreamed of at nineteen; but only three months later, all is about to change. Cassandra returns home from work to find her roommate brutally murdered. Her life is thrown into a tailspin from that day forward, and unbeknownst to her, she holds the clue to identifying the killer and he knows it. Several more murders take place in Nob Hill, prompting the police to announce it is the work of a serial killer. Cassandra develops a haunting suspicion that she may have made a grave error in judgment resulting in the biggest mistake of her young life. After helping the police come up with a sketch of a person of interest, she moves back to Marin to start over. She also gets herself entangled in a heartbreaking love triangle with the lead detective on the case. But the Nob Hill Killer has his own plans: to seek revenge on Cassandra. He begins to taunt and stalk her in uncanny ways until she finally realizes the only way to rid herself of her tormentor is to killor be killed.
