I would tell you when you are under a curse, people just cannot understand you, the hard time you may have at times. I remember when I was a little boy and lived on a plantation when the white rider would come out to talk with my father. He would send my three sisters in the corn field to hide from the rider because the rider had stated he could not resist young black ladies. I know this might be hard for some to believe, yes or no, the one Robinson family had some good days and some bad days. But I am glad that I remember the history of the Curse. Some might say how do you live with this curse. Well, most of the time you just stay to yourself, this does not mean that you cannot mix with other people but they will recognize you are not like them if that person is not under the Curse. When you are under a good curse, dogs and cats can recognize you anywhere; it’s like the people in Iraq, they are under the bad Curse and they don’t want to change to anything good. They say they want to be free our way and no one can make us change. They may have changed for a few years, just to fool everyone, but the bad Curse stayed with them, at all times. It is the same way with the good Curses. I truly hope this book will be fun to you because it is true, I’ll see you next time.

“Some shows have warnings for strobe lights. Some have them for loud gunshots.  Some for smoke.   MISSISSIPPI GODDAMN, a new play by Jonathan Norton should have one for intensity.   Granted, anyone attending a play about civil rights pioneer Medgar Evers set in 1963 Jackson, Mississippi, should expect some strife. Blood in the battle for racial equality is no surprise, but f...

“It seems to me that for fertility in droll inventions, the perpetual outpouring of unforeseen misunderstandings, for the inexhaustible gaiety of dialogue, Feydeau’s new play is superior to everything he’s written so far. The most astonishing thing is the sureness with which everything is controlled, explained, justified, in the most extravagant buffoonery. The cross-purpose...

“Plenty of glamorous backstabbing, diva dissing and sexual double-crossing…has every right to claim the name Dynasty for itself.  But the title character in Betty Shamieh’s bouncy, bumpy comic melodrama is the real thing. A queen, I mean, and not just of the self-dramatizing type. Scratch that. She’s more than a queen. She’s a pharaoh, one Hatshepsut, who reigned over Egypt ...
