The field was silent, a stark contrast to the chaos that hadunfolded mere hours ago. The air hung heavy, thick with the scentof blood and death. Valen stood alone at the center, his eyesscanning the expanse before him. The grass, once vibrant and lush, was now trampled and stained-a macabre testament to thebattle’s ferocity. Bodies lay strewn across the field, motionless andsilent, their lives brutally extinguished. The sun, a pale disk in the sky, cast a somber light upon thescene as if mourning the loss of so many. Valen’s heart weighedheavy in his chest as he surveyed the devastation. He had foughtalongside these warriors, laughed with them, and shared stories oftriumph and defeat. Now, they lay silent, their dreams and hopesforever extinguished. He could feel the weight of their losspressing down upon him, a physical burden that threatened to crushhim. His eyes, filled with unshed tears, reflected the sorrow anddespair that engulfed his soul.As he stood there, numb with grief, Valen’s gaze fell upon asolitary figure in the distance.
