The Not-So-Exciting Adventures of Tuxedo Man shares the stories of CJ, an average 9-year-old boy who believes that his suit gives him certain superpowers when he wears it to school. The kids start calling him Tuxedo Man, and elevate him to hero status as he solves typical 4th-grade problems, with a little help from his advice-giving mom. He eventually begins to help others around him recognize their own superpowers. Each chapter offers a relatable story that empowers every child with courage and confidence through kindness; and encourages independent thinking and meaningful adult-child conversation. Tuxedo Man is targeted for upper elementary ages 8-10, although appropriate for K-6, making it the perfect choice for independent readers, as well as reading groups, classrooms, social workers, families, and collaborative school/district-wide SEL community reading programs. Tuxedo Man inspires young minds to realize that not all heroes wear capes, and everyone can be a hero!
