The Oud Advanced book has been designed for students who are comfortable playing the oud using a high level of technique and wish to further advance their playing skills. Students are requiredto have completed the Upper Intermediate course book with a high level of achievement and be able comfortably read music notation without the use of tablatures.This book will cover multiple facets of oud playing that are of a higher technique than the previous books. The use of all three playing position will be applied when learning to play maqamaat on a single stringor two strings in several positions. New ornamentation patterns will be learned (glissando, vibrato and mixed ornaments), modulations and secondary maqamaat will also be emphasized. These techniques will be added to the skills covered in previous books. These will be applied while playing a variety of complicated repertoires providing students with a challenging set of skills to improve their playing.
