The Mourning is a beautiful and elegant score that represents grief and sadness but also happiness and positivity through reflection. This score that makes up this book has six sections: Conductor’s score, Violins I & II, Violas, Cellos and Basses. Included in this book are the full score and the five individual parts. This piece is hauntingly beautiful and an orchestra would enjoy learning and performing this piece and would be a great experience. This piece would ideally be performed by a high school or college orchestra or more advanced junior high orchestra. This piece is for the Grade 2-3 string player.
