Jeannie Finnegan is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and a graduate of the University of Maryland. She works with long-term care, memory care, and assisted living communities to develop and implement person-centered, meaningful engagement for residents/patients. Her specialties include the use of music as a therapeutic tool for enhanced care and quality of life. Her passion is to increase awareness of the miraculous power of music to enrich care and quality of life for those living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses, traumatic brain injuries, and other cognitive disorders. As a guest speaker, Jeannie provides educational seminars for caregiver groups, professional groups, churches, and the community on topics such as the healing power of music, Alzheimer’s and dementia, reminiscence therapy, meaningful pursuits, and other important subjects. She also provides ongoing staff education and training focused on improving care through meaningful individualized care, especially for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Share the miracle!
