'The Lustful Turk, or Lascivious Scenes from a Harem' is a British erotic novel originally published anonymously in 1828. The narrative is presented as a series of letters between Sylvia Carey and the heroine, Emily Barlow. In her letters, Emily recounts her experiences following her capture by Moorish pirates and assimilation into the harem of Ali, dey of Algiers. 'The Lustful Turk' is a classic example of pre-Victorian erotic literature not to be missed by fans or collectors of the genre. Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive.
