The golden bird heralds from a beautiful forest known as The Valley of the Waterfalls and Flowers. This Valley exists to protect all the other forests and wildlife in the land. The protection depends on a bond between a golden bird with rare turquoise markings, and a flowering turquoise vine. This bond is known as The Ring of Light. Without this protection, The Valley would be taken over and plunged into darkness by those who seek power over the forests of the land.But few golden birds with turquoise markings are ever born, which is a constant worry for the sustainment of The Ring of Light. One miraculous day however, the forest rejoiced as a baby golden bird, named Berra, was born with the rare turquoise markings.Upon hearing of the birth of Berra, Octimus, Overlord of the Octospies, was incensed. He wasn’t about to let Berra survive. So, he sent two of his nastiest octospy out with their orders to find and kill Berra. Somehow, the unthinkable happened. Berra disappeared, and darkness took over her forest.Was Berra really dead? Octimus was satisfied that his orders had been carried out. Berra was gone.Or so he was told.
