John Williams, is on the run from a possible double murder during a Minnesota winter blizzard. John Williams, as always, out of luck and low on bucks. John Williams, trying to slide by, and on the sly. Faced with an ever growing list of calamities, illegal gambling, drug use, manslaughter, ticked o_ pimps, and pissed off bookies, to say nothing of an angry crowd of young, old, and anything in between girls/ladies whose hearts have been broken, innocence stolen. Fleeing an ever-growing group of vigilantes in the Midwest, John has landed at his three-o mark in lovely Reno, Nevada. Early 1980s the North Nevada economy is in a slump and our John Williams’ life is in the dump. But as always, John Williams, known to readers as '_ e Lucky Loser,' and 'Side-door Johnny,' will, through nothing more than dumb-fucking-luck, get by, get-it-on, and move up. John Williams has many faults, many deficiencies, but has always had one everlasting goal in life: 'Survival.' Landing in windy, dusty, depressing Reno, Nevada, John knows he has to change, has to hide, and has to convert himself from a fist swinging, drug abusing, degenerate gambler, drinker, and womanizer, into a decent, respectable, admired member of society. Huh!!! Will John Williams successfully reinvent himself from a long tenure of drugs, greed, and debauchery, to a life of family, career, honesty and trust? Our John Williams must now tap dance through a span of sex, marriage, and law enforcement, while hiding in plain sight. John Williams must survive!
