Every day, the little red hen lays an egg for the little old couple’s breakfast. And every day, they share her tasty egg. But when the couple decides to eat something besides eggs for breakfast, the little red hen falls apart! Her feathers fall out and she gets very sick, which is what chickens do.When the elderly couple realize they hurt the little hen's feelings, they feed her hot grasshopper soup and nurse her back to health.
