The Little Boy with a Bamboo Stick is a poem written in verse, inspired by daily walks through the neighborhood with his Papa (grandfather). Each day, the little boy carries a bamboo stick and uses his playful imagination to transform it in a variety of ways-from scratching his back to using it as a brake for his stroller. Over the course of several months, he discovers countless creative uses for his stick while talking and laughing with his Papa.During this time, the boy and his Papa accumulate a treasure of memories that cannot be replaced by material possessions. The story’s message encourages children to value meaningful experiences with loved ones over the need for expensive toys.
