The Little Apostle On Crutches is a novel written by Henriette Eugenie Delamare and first published in 1912. The story follows the life of a young girl named Gabrielle, who is born with a physical disability that leaves her unable to walk without the aid of crutches. Despite her condition, Gabrielle is a bright and optimistic child who is determined to live life to the fullest. As Gabrielle grows older, she becomes increasingly interested in religion and spirituality. She begins to attend church regularly and develops a deep faith in God. Her faith becomes a source of strength and comfort for her, helping her to overcome the challenges she faces due to her disability. The novel also explores the relationships Gabrielle has with her family and friends. Her parents are supportive of her, but her siblings struggle to understand her and often tease her about her crutches. Gabrielle’s best friend, Marie, is also disabled and the two girls bond over their shared experiences.Throughout the book, Gabrielle faces a number of obstacles, including prejudice and discrimination from others who view her disability as a weakness. However, she remains steadfast in her faith and her determination to live a full and meaningful life.Overall, The Little Apostle On Crutches is a heartwarming and inspiring story about the power of faith and perseverance in the face of adversity. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
