ABOUT THE BOOKThe book tells a story about how fascinating and unique an emperor’s family can be. MinLing, a young and beautiful girl from a non-wealthy or privileged family, finds herself smitten with the Emperor’s eldest son Sy’on also the Crown Prince. They both find each other outside by the lotus pond every night wandering off from their daily duties and meeting to talk, before starting their lives again the next day. So far, MinLing has been offered a promotion by the Crown Prince, to leave behind what she had been doing her entire life, which was doing chores for the Emperor’s family. For her, this was a whole new adventure on its own. She meets another family member as well as finds out what the Crown Prince had in mind for her. Although hesitant at first, she decides to accept the Crown Prince’s offer and thus begins her new life. When her first evening started, she met more members of the Royal family, including the Crown Prince’s younger brothers, the Emperor himself, and the Empress. The family was very hospitable towards MinLing and welcomed her very warm-heartedly with the exception of one. After the Crown Prince makes a comment to the Empress, MinLing becomes curious to know about the family’s history. And soon, she finds herself having a one-on-one conversation with the Emperor. He seemed very interested in telling her how his family made their way from the ground up, how he had a journey full of various feelings while reaching to become such an honored and well-known Emperor.
