The final book in the Generations Trilogy -The battles on Earth have ended and new technology is developing at an incredible rate. Faster than Light (FTL) communication allows almost instant communication with the colony on Proxima-b, over four light years away. Artificial gravity systems have been designed and used on all spacecraft. Inertia damping devices permits exceptionally high acceleration rates. However, the most startling is the development of bioorganic computing systems that are grown, not manufactured. The capacity and speed of these new systems permits the advanced improvement in n-dimensional space analysis, leading to instantaneous inter stellar flight. Japanese scientists also discover how to download the full content of a human brain into a new bio-organic brain. With the invention of human simulacrum from a person’s DNA and rapid aging techniques to any desired age, it has become possible for the essence of a person to live for as long as they want. This technology proves to be a two edge sword; The colony on Proxima-b is under attack by what appears to be alien life forms. Can the people of Earth get to Proxima-b in time to save the colony? Are the attackers truly alien? And by the way, who wants to live forever?
