The Shah of Iran’s 'White Revolution' and his celebration of '2500 years of the Persian Kingdom.' I have participated in both events. This makes me one of the few living Iranians with first-hand knowledge of these pivotal historical moments. Ranging from my years living in multiple cities, including Tehran, to my time in many small Iranian villages, this is my autobiography while living in Iran from 1951-1978. The period covered in this book ends with my departure for graduate study in the United States, just two steps ahead of the Iranian Revolution.
