The President, Secretary of Defense and the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff routinely publish strategic guidance in the form of the National Security Strategy, National Military Strategy, National Defense Strategy and the Quadrennial Defense Review. This AY-10 student research paper analyzes correlations between the guidance contained in these documents on the Army’s annual budget submissions.
