About My WritingDive into the ocean that is the English language in the style known as romantic existentialism. Go on a journey into the impossible made possible. Stretch your heart and mind and imagination to the depths of the universe and back. Go on adventures that will lead you to emotions you never knew you had. Visit depths of thought which will lead you to love and heartbreak, seasons which know the living and the passed. Die and breathe with me in war and silent peace, times of fruitful plenty, and times of death’s scarce bones. Enjoy endings where you find yourself alone on an island examining the flesh and breath of your existence. With vivid imagery that won’t leave you in the dark unless we are paying homage to the sacred night. So pack your bags and trip with me as we travel from your soul to your heart to your mind. We will trudge through sun and moon, rivers and oceans, man to woman to child, blood and laughter, and universes of little secrets in your psyche all in the comfort of your own eyes. Enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing. This book is your vehicle to all these destinations and much more. Your ride is here. Let’s go.

‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. Figures who could so easily flit like phantoms in her well honed poetry are palpably enjoying an after-life in the poet’s ability to redeem through deep understanding. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....
