Chris Higgs, a struggling psychologist’s assistant, mirrors his patients’ pain. Confusion, addiction, and despair-the very demons he battles are the same ones he’s tasked with confronting in others. Resigned to his struggles, Chris begins to believe that this is just the way life goes. Then he stumbles upon a stolen invention: glasses that don’t just sharpen vision but shatter the illusion of language itself. For the first time in his life, Chris sees untransformed reality-a vision of the world prior to language, beyond doubt, into equanimity.Empowered by this newfound perception and supported by a circle of faithful allies, Chris founds Insight, a center dedicated to liberating humanity from the mental prisons built by words-prisons of identity, anxiety, and false beliefs. But the more Insight spreads the truth, the more powerful enemies take notice. A ruthless oil cartel, built on deception and disinformation, sees the glasses as a threat, and they’ll do anything to destroy them. The path ahead is perilous, with fire-bombed buildings, betrayals from within, and a final trial that may cost Chris his life.Yet his greatest challenge is not the battle against his enemies but the quest to awaken humanity from its longest deception. If he succeeds, the world may finally step beyond the limits of words and into undistorted reality. If he fails, the greatest truth ever seen will vanish-buried once again by the illusion that has enslaved humanity since the first word was spoken.
