The village and surrounding countryside were familiar to Ana, although she had no recollection of visiting this remote part of Devon before today. Despite her confusing thoughts she knew, as soon as her feet touched the ground, that she was destined to live there. Soon after moving into her new home the dreams began. Before long she feels as if her mind is overflowing with another woman’s thoughts and feelings, a woman who she will never be able to meet, as she had lived out her life over a hundred years before. Ana is aware that the woman who fills her dreams is very special, as she demonstrates extraordinary magical abilities. As time passes she comes to know the woman and her family as if they are her own kin and feels their experiences as if they are happening to her. And even though some of what they share with her is harrowing, she finds herself unwilling to stop her journey into another time, until she finally understands why she has been pulled into the lives of this other family.
