Before embarking on his teaching career, Sid worked for the U.S. Forest Service, spending three years on a fire suppression crew and four seasons as a smokejumper.Sid considers teaching high school a profound privilege, a calling that shaped his life. As a proud father of four adult children, he cherishes the lessons learned from both family and his students. Though he began writing as a hobby, he discovered his passion for authorship in his seventies.
