Professor Terry then brings him to meet all the chemical families who will become part of his chemistry experience.The book ends with Professor Terry finding out that the elements in Sodium’s family are very sad. She challenges Sodium to search Periodic Table Land to discover how elements can become happy atoms. His discovery sets the stage for the topic of Book 3: compound formation.The principles of chemistry are woven throughout this fantasy tale to convey principles of chemistry in a way that captures the attention of young readers making learning fun.
