I live in Yakima, Washington with my beautiful wife Kathy. God brought us together through a mutual friend and God has blessed both of our lives after having lost our first spouses. Kathy brought two wonderful young men into our union and since then one of them has added a granddaughter to our family. Not having any children of my own I have had to take a crash course on being a parent and now a grandparent.My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, but my career has taken a diverse pathway over the course of my life. I have worked in a lab as a chemist, a designer/drafter for an engineering company and an office manager for an electrical contractor.But my most unusual and challenging time was the two years I spent in Ethiopia with the Peace Corps teaching math and science. That time has put within me a yearning for travel, of learning about diverse cultures and meeting new people that has not diminished since it was put there some forty years ago.My relationship with Jesus began when I was five years old and even though there have been times that I have failed him; he has always been faithful to me. I serve in my local church in whatever capacity God needs and I have been on two short term missions’ trips, one to China and one to Hungary that I thoroughly enjoyed.
