Britain’s war with Napoleon by Oman in a single volumeThose familiar with the outstanding scholarship of the historian Sir Charles William Chadwick Oman (1860-1946) may be confused by the title of this is a book for it is one that that Oman never actually wrote as a single work. Oman’s multi-volume history of the Peninsular War is a highly regarded account of the total conflict and has led to Oman’s work being considered the foremost authority on the subject since the publication of Sir William Napier’s magnum opus which first appeared in 1828.
