Just as the four brave young men in the book of Daniel, today as believers we can stand in the midst of culture mix-up and represent Christ. The young men defied the gargantuan King Nebuchadnezzar, and we’re thrown into a fiery furnace, Daniel was thrown into a put of lions, but their faith never wavered neither did they shame God. For centuries, their heroic stand has captured the hearts of both the young and the old. Their refusal to obey the King’s behest, three charges were laid against them, they paid no heed for the king and his commands, and they did not serve the king’s God’s and refused to worship the golden statue the king had set. From the king’s advisors, the penalty for their action was death. Their response against their charges to the king was profound, Daniel 3:15, '...Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O King. But if not, be it known unto thee, that we will not serve thy God’s nor worship the golden image which though hast set up.'
