Riding the Waves of Hawaiʻi, California and MemoryTim works alone in the basement of a Hawaiʻi university library, combing eighties-era hard drives for a lost manuscript by the late Calvin Fritz, the poet laureate of California stoner fiction. From the Honolulu few tourists ever see, to the San Fernando Valley, Zuma Beach and the San Francisco Bay Area, Tim peels back the layers of their intertwined stories, and is forced to confront his own lost memories. Finding the manuscript would be the achievement of Tim’s life. But should all stories be told? And who gets to tell them?
