This booklet contains eleven posts from the first seven years of ''The French Genealogy Blog'' on the subject of the largely American Genealogical Proof Standard as it may be applied to the documentation found in French genealogy. These posts were written during our participation in a study group on the book by Thomas W. Jones entitled ''Mastering Genealogical Proof''. At the time of going to press, the sessions of that study group could still be seen on YouTube. This booklet follows on our first publication ''French Genealogy From Afar'' , which explains the basics of French genealogy and without which this booklet may seem a bit confusing. It is our most sincere wish that you, Dear Reader, would find it of use when it comes to analyzing and evaluating the results of your French genealogical research. 3
