本書是旅美華裔詩人陳九最新詩選作品。第一輯《窗外是海》蒐錄23首詩作；第二輯《讓我怎樣安息》蒐錄21首詩作；第三輯《自新大陸》蒐錄16首詩作。陳九，畢業於中國人民大學工經系，美國俄亥俄大學國際事務系，及紐約石溪大學信息管理系，碩士學位。當過兵，做過公務員，並長期從事跨文化文學創作。代表作有小說選《挫指柔》《卡達菲魔箱》，散文集《紐約第三只眼》《曼哈頓的中國大咖》《野草瘋長》，及詩集《漂泊有時很美》《窗外是海》等。第14屆百花文學獎，第4屆《長江文藝》完美文學獎，及第5屆中山文學獎獲得者。曾任海外華文作家筆會會長，北美中文作家協會會長等職。
