The Frozen Games, as described in the book, would be an alternative to the Winter Olympic Games. For every event in the Winter Olympics, there is another event that was formerly in the Winter Olympics but has been discontinued, was demonstrated but never upgraded to an official Olympic event, or is or has been contested in other winter Games. Regarding those, the Arctic Winter Games, Asian Winter Games, Winter Military World Games, Winter World University Games, and Winter X Games each have or have had several events that are not on the Winter Olympic program. The historical Nordic Games, which preceded the Winter Olympics, also had a few events that did not make it into the latter. Even a winter sports afficionado might be surprised that there are 122 events across 30 sports that qualify for the Frozen Games! The Para Frozen Games would be a companion to the Frozen Games, with sports and events for athletes with disabilities. With suitable backing, support and venues, the Frozen Games could become a major attraction for athletes who might never taste Olympic glory!
