The Flight to Eden: A Florida Romance is a novel written by Harrison Rhodes and originally published in 1907. The story takes place in the late 1800s and follows the journey of two young lovers, Richard and Edith, as they flee from their wealthy families in New York to start a new life in the untamed wilderness of Florida. Richard, a talented artist, and Edith, a beautiful socialite, are deeply in love but are forbidden from being together by their families. Together they hatch a plan to escape to Florida, where they hope to find a new life free from the constraints of their old one. Their journey is filled with danger and adventure as they travel by train and boat to reach their destination. Once in Florida, they encounter a variety of colorful characters, including a group of Seminole Indians, who help them on their journey. As they settle into their new life in the wilderness, Richard and Edith must learn to survive in a harsh and unforgiving environment. They face many challenges, including dangerous animals, harsh weather conditions, and the threat of being discovered by their families. Despite the difficulties they face, Richard and Edith are determined to make a life together in their new home. The Flight to Eden: A Florida Romance is a thrilling and romantic tale of love, adventure, and the pursuit of freedom in the face of adversity. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
