'I joined a merchant bank at the age of 17, and at 29 became a director of the bank.' He later spent his career in media and healthcare projects. The author travelled the world on business and acquired many stories along the way. He was awarded an OBE by Queen Elizabeth in 1994 for services in helping to develop UK exports and served as an advisor on several listed companies.
