In the 22nd Century there are exceptional women born with mystical energies, a criminalized act unwittingly transferred from mother to daughter. They are known as the electric women. Feared, hunted for their subversive powers, terrified for their lives. Remaining concealed, cut-off in underground enclaves rarely adventuring beyond their families and the boundaries that divide Lower City from Upper City where those with money and political influence thrive. If detected, the electric women are arrested and transported to the dungeon of Force HQ, strapped into the arms of the awaiting chair where Force trained docs and techs physically and mentally plunder them, penetrating every avenue available, legal and illegal, compelling them to admit to their invented crimes and reveal their collaborators. Ripping open their memories, dreams, desires until their confidences tumble out onto the screens of their brain analytics torture machines. The remnants of those who survive the brutalizing interrogation, rocketed off to Skylab One where they spend the balance of their in-valid existence weaving dreams in the clouds. Threat eliminated.Living on the edge, between these two precarious worlds, is the Yohan family. Marcus, husband and father, wields overarching authority as Chief of the Force. A position he’s fought hard for. But he’s been under attack since his wife Salome went missing. Vanishing two years before from their apartment in the middle of the day without a trace of evidence. Her sudden, never explained disappearance has caused ruptures, opening up untended wounds within the family, while outside, his enemies circle.Their eldest daughter, Alaina, has been caught in the crossfire of a perverse act of revenge from an unknown actor. She’s been damaged beyond repair in a terrorist attack. An act of sabotage meant to slowly finish the Chief, one family member at a time. But from who and where? The Chief’s younger daughter, Asherah, a Force member herself, is suspected of planting the bomb in order to frame Alaina for the deaths and destruction. Leaving even their dad with doubts about her innocence. In training to capture the notorious electric women is Asherah. A path her dad chose for her, a career that offers her a direction away from her missing mom. A loss that haunts her motives. A loss she blames her dad for and has vowed to get revenge. A young woman discovering herself and exposing others at the same time. All the while a hurricane is traveling up the coast targeting the City. Chief Yohan must maintain control over his Force while protecting his fracturing family from other Force members trying to overthrow him for power and glory and revenge. And it’s only a matter of time to see which of these players comes out alive, and which ones ends up mysteriously disappearing forever.
