The Cyberhorny Dream Diaries is an in depth look at the memorialized dreams of Nastya Valentine. The dreams were documented and complied over a series of months. Evan Dunn uses his psychoanalytical expertise to help better understand the deeper meaning behind each dream. Each dream is accompanied by AI generated images that use the actual dreams’ details to create the renderings. This begs the question: does this use of AI help us better understand our own subconscious or further distort our reality?Cyberhorny Dream Diaries originally came together as a side project from my book Cyberhorny: Navigating A Sexual Dystopia, an academic text about my scope of experiences in the online adult industry. It wasn’t supposed to be a full project of its own, rather a cute petite little offshoot to make the full book look good. However, as it developed, and as interest in it grew, not just from others but from myself, this becoming a full piece spoke to me with remarkable clarity. Many of my idols like David Lynch and Carl Jung take strong inspiration from deep dream analysis, yet the practice of it isn’t taken seriously or dismissed as frivolous. That’s okay. I’m often not taken seriously or dismissed as frivolous. Dream analysis is for the girlies. This book, the art I made for it, the time I spent dissecting my dreams, is my intellectual domain.
