The year is 3043, ten centuries after the Korean-American War. The world had been devastated with only a few surviving families left unscathed. These families regenerated the human race, creating Emperia which stands where America fell those years ago. As memories live on, the past pushing influence into the future, the new generations of the human race are ready to take care of themselves. Life was seemingly normal for our main character, sixteen-year-old Raven Jones, in the new era of the world, aside from the most recent changes to her family. She lived a normal life inside a utopia of endless rebirth - until the problems in her life caught up with her. Ray went off and found insight into the world that she lived in. As she saw the full scope of her world that was ever changing, she also found the dark truths and the blatant lies that had shaped her consciousness to be blinded - as well as everyone else’s. This greeted Ray Jones with a new dilemma: if something can be fixed, should it be fixed? Better yet, is it too late now to fix anything?

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...
