The Crypto Current Crash

When flashy crypto influencer Kyle 'CryptoWave' Branson is found floating lifeless in the brand-new Shorepoint Waterpark wave pool, most people call it a tragic accident. Forensic accountant Rick Ellison calls it murder. In the charming Jersey Shore town of Shorepoint, New Jersey, Rick and his team at Ellison & Partners have been hired to audit Kyle’s suspiciously high-tech investment pools. But what begins as a routine financial review quickly spirals into a clever whodunit when Rick discovers the victim was killed by his own smartwatch and custom NFT - a sophisticated biometric-triggered toxin activated in the water. With his skeptical senior partner Lena rolling her eyes at another 'hobby' investigation, golf-obsessed analyst Bear providing comic relief and unexpected insights, brilliant tech prodigy Mia geeking out over blockchain forensics, his journalist daughter Sophie feeding him insider leads, and his wife Elena’s café having lost money in Kyle’s scheme, Rick must bridge old-school ledgers and cutting-edge technology to catch a killer who turned the victim’s own creations against him.As the team unravels Kyle’s sophisticated Ponzi-like fraud that hurt local merchants and families, they face red herrings, digital misdirection, and the first clear threads of a larger conspiracy lurking beneath Shorepoint’s sunny surface. With a nor’easter bearing down and the killer growing desperate, Rick and his ensemble must work together to protect their community and deliver justice - one reconciled ledger at a time.Warm, witty, and twisty, 'Crypto Current Crash' is the second delightful installment in the Digital Shores cozy mystery series - where sharp forensic accounting meets sun-drenched Jersey Shore charm, found-family camaraderie shines, and justice is always balanced to the penny.Perfect for fans of clever puzzles, laugh-out-loud banter, and feel-good beachside sleuthing.
